Veronna is a 24-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter and social media influencer (40K+ followers). After more than 250 shows around the world for various musical groups in the past 4 years, she finally makes her solo debut with her first album ‘’In The Unknown’’ that was launched in December 2018.
Memorable melodies, a nuanced and powerful voice, deep lyrics and majestic musical arrangements, amazing stage presence and great visuals, that’s what makes Veronna so unique.
In August 2017, Veronna releases her first single “Queen”, her woman empowerment anthem. The song is noticed as soon as it is released and the young singer is called to perform it at the Rimouski International Jazz Festival in duo with the renowned pianist Rafael Zaldivar.
Moreover, with this song and her great presence on social medias ever since, Veronna have attracted more than 42K subscribers (including 38K on her Instagram page, her favorite platform).
It is at the well-known Tangerine Studio in Montreal that Veronna develops her sound with the producer William Gaboury.
Alongside the making of her album, she performs several shows in which she performs her new original songs. The audience is unanimous: her music touches hearts.
During the summer of 2018, she is the special guest on the show “Women Of Rock” and shares the stage with Quebec rock icons Marjo and France d’Amour.
Very early, she developed her rich and nuanced voice.
“A name to remember” is what Daniel Lemay wrote in La Presse after hearing her sing at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2010 when she was only 15 years old.
“Such a great voice in such a small body” is the comment the singer Jean-François Breau made on TVA the following year after her winning performance at the Telethon Enfant Soleil.
Although she has always sung, her great interest in music has led her to study piano and guitar at a very young age. As a teenager, she even developed an interest in classical singing, a discipline she practiced for three years. However, it was her experience at the Blues Camp (organized by the FIJM) that made her change her direction and choose to continue her studies in jazz vocal performance at Cégep de Saint-Laurent.
After singing in front of hundreds of thousands of people in cities such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Dubai, the 24-year-old singer has already realized part of her childhood dream:
to be an international singer.
Now her challenge is to realize this dream again, but this time in solo and with her own original songs.
